ALABASTER MOUNTAIN LION by RICKSON KALLESTEWA– ZUNI

Mountain Lion fetish hand carved out of Alabaster with offering bowl. Artist is known for his happy expressions on his pieces. There are 6 cardinal guardians and the mountain lion fetish is considered to be the guardian of the North, who shows leadership and resourcefulness. Mountain lion is holding an offering bowl with the front paws, offering bowl is adorned with a Turquoise dragonfly and rain clouds. A seed is placed inside the bowl. Arrowhead bundle on the back, is carved out of Pen Shell. Facial expressions and paws are textured with Jet. Fetish measures 3 3/4 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 1 1/2 inches tall. Carved initials on the bottom of paws “RK”, “2024”, and “Zuni”.
