PURISIMA BEAR WITH INLAID SUN FACE by ANDRES LEMENTINO – ZUNI

Purisima bear fetish hand carved by Andres Lementino. Bear has an inlaid Sun Face on one side. Sun Face is made out of Turquoise, Coral, Jet, Lapis, and Mother of Pearl Shell. There are 6 cardinal guardians and the bear fetish is considered to be the guardian of the West, who shows strength and inner power to perceive one’s present circumstances. Measures 2 inches long, 1/2 an inch wide, and 1 3/4 inches tall. Signed at the bottom with “AL”.
